Job Details: Senior Geotechnical Expert / Engineer

THE PROJECT

Our client will be soon supervising, on behalf of the project owner, the Construction of a passenger dedicated high speed railway line in the Central part of Eastern China (Mainland). The line will be around 1000 km long and will be built in 2 phases. The first phase, the subject of this announcement, will be 500+ km. The end client for this project is a Chinese public authority organization (railways). The Construction is programmed to start in May 2010 so the need so the need for suitable applicants for this post is urgent. 

DESCRIPTION OF THE CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION TEAM

The construction supervision will be performed by joint ventures composed of Chinese and foreign partners. They will work closely together to assure that the construction is performed to high speed railway standards. The construction is programmed to begin in May 2010.

OUR CLIENT

Our client is an international consulting firm specialized in transportation. They are the foreign partner in the Consortium tasked with the Construction Supervision for this project . They have proven know-how in public transport, railway and high speed rail lines, and they are rapidly developing in the high speed rail sector in China.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

The expert has to provide at least 10 years experience in the same position and in similar construction supervision projects.

Degree in Engineering (graduate studies will be a plus)

Full command of written and spoken English

Experience in high speed railway projects will be a plus

CONTRACT CONDITIONS

Expatriate package:  Up to 16,500 USD NET (After Taxes) per working month depending on the relevant experiences. Accommodation & a car with driver will be paid
by our client.

Type of contract: this is a long term contract (4 years, renewable every year), on a contractor status basis

Start date: March-April 2010
